Meet Our Team
Liz Lindley, Vice President
a.k.a. Leader of the Pack
I’m a New Yorker, with a BA from the University of Virginia and a JD from Emory Law School. I’ve been with Fetching since 2011, and CEO since 2013. I am a proud parent of Rosie (the cutest maltipoo ever!), I began my career as a matrimonial lawyer (bet you weren’t expecting that!?) and switched gears to focus on Public Relations – first for lawyers, then for professional services while at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide in New York City. From there, I promoted educational services and products for Kaplan/a division of The Washington Post, also in NYC, and then crisis work and litigation PR at a virtual PR agency. But there’s no doubt that the best job has been this one at Fetching Communications, working with pet owners and veterinarians who care for our pets.
I love helping companies become known – to pet owners, veterinarians, consumers across the country or their local neighborhoods. Our clients bring unmatched enthusiasm for their products and services, and they want pets and pet owners to be happy and healthy. The more our team helps these businesses promote their products and expertise, the better off pet owners and animals are! And as a news-hound I still absolutely love getting a hit in media outlets – that’s a thrill that will never waver.
Adventures with my family and playtime with Rosie, along with quiet time reading memoirs about almost anyone, binging on Netflix and Amazon originals, and lately asking “Alexa” to play all kinds of music and podcasts (Echo owners will understand!).
Jillian Cameron, Account Executive
a.k.a. Fearless Feline
I’m a crazy obsessed pet mom and animal rescue enthusiast with a passion for PR. I graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a B.A. in public relations and marketing communications in 2014 and soon jumped into my first job at a boutique PR and marketing communications agency in Columbus, Ohio. My desire to work on behalf of clients in the pet industry led me to Fetching Communications where I work to build authentic relationships with the media and bloggers, craft engaging content, develop strategic social media programs and much more.
I love that the work I do directly improves the lives of pets all over the world. I also enjoy that I’m surrounded by a group of coworkers who continually challenge me and help me grow both as a person and a PR pro. Being able to work from home with my three fur kids doesn’t hurt either!
Outside of the 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. work day, you can probably find me spending time with my energetic min pin and two rescue cats, shopping for the best deals on clothes and antiques with my fiancé, writing an article for my pet blog, hiking in Hocking Hills State Park or watching my favorite TV shows and movies.
Shannon Stevens, Account Supervisor
a.k.a. Tenacious Terrier
I live on Long Island with my husband and our seven-year-old pit bull, Ace. I’ve been in the Public Relations industry for close to 20 years and have represented clients like Vaseline and JCPenney, in addition to animal rescue organizations, shelters, trainers, and veterinarians.
Working at Fetching has given me the opportunity to focus on the one type of Public Relations I have always gravitated towards — anything pet-related! The flexibility, clients, and staff are just added bonuses.
You can find me figure skating at the rink, watching football with my husband, or playing catch with Ace!
Lisa Thomas, Director of Operations
a.k.a. Horse Whisperer
As the Director of Operations at Fetching Communications, I work with the CEO and our team on finance, human resources, technology, and more…all with the goal of ensuring that our clients enjoy their experience with Fetching.
Working with the Fetching team and our clientele of pet companies and veterinarians is a treat. Working with numbers is what I do, and to do that in the context of such passionate people is terrific.
When I’m not at work you can find me hanging out with my hubby, dog and cat. Nikki is a Great Dane and the epitome of a Gentle Giant. She loves strolling around “her” neighborhood every evening visiting with neighbors and other dogs. Loui is a domestic short hair cat who we rescued after Hurricane Katrina. He enjoys sunning himself by the pool.
