Like many of us, Kristen Levine developed an emotional connection with animals at an early age. Her volunteer work led to a fifteen-year career as the Public Relations Director of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Tampa Bay, Florida, where she played a critical role in promoting pet adoption and pet lifestyle education.

Kristen's knowledge of pet lifestyle concerns and family dynamics coupled with her understanding of public relations led her to found Fetching Communications in 2002. Her goal: To develop the nation's first and only marketing and public relations firm wholly dedicated to serving the pet industry.

Today, Kristen is a popular columnist for NBC Universal's Petside.com and the Tampa Tribune newspaper. She has logged over 1,000 live television and radio interviews, including appearances on Good Morning America, Fox News Channel, USA Today, Fox News.com, ABC News Radio, EFE America, AOL Latino and regular spots on WTVT, Fox 13 News in Tampa Bay, Florida. Kristen is also a frequent contributor to pet and veterinary trade magazines nationwide.

As a speaker, Kristen brings her 140 dog-years of experience in the pet world, passion, and magnetic personality to every person or audience she engages.

Kristen is married and lives in Florida with her dog, pygmy goats and a pair of miniature donkeys.

Kristen secured a spot on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleading squad, one of the National Football League’s most elite squads. She proudly represented the NFL and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two seasons at games, community events and was even selected to travel to the Middle East to entertain U.S. soldiers.

Kristen holds a U.S. Patent for the Hot Reel, a retractable device that protects animals from harm while they pass through electric fencing systems.

In Memory of Buckley Brown Levine

Co-Founder of Fetching Communications
“Buck”

The late, great Buckley "Buck" Brown co-founded Fetching Communications in 2002 with president (and mom) Kristen Levine. The handsome and quirky labrador-chow mix was adopted by the Levine's at the SPCA Tampa Bay in 1996. His oddly serious personality led him to be labeled "All Business Bucky'", thus making him a perfect at-work partner for Kristen. "Whether he was chasing squirrels, barking at bikers or just trying to stay close to me, Buck was always very focused determined and unflappable--great qualities for an entrepreneur," recalls Kristen. "He was literally with me when I conceived Fetching Communications and his constant companionship (and comic relief) helped me take the company from a one-woman, one-dog operation, to what it is today."

Buck also inspired the company's dedication to promoting pet adoption and to highlighting the virtues of the mixed breed dog or cat.

Dave received his Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida.  He is the proud pet parent of Miles Davis, Cool Cat, who is a tuxedo Maine Coon.

Audrey Strong

Audrey has more than 20 years combined experience as both a public relations professional and television newsperson. Her hybrid background makes her an expert in media relations and one of her favorite things is to introduce and get exposure for clients to all our media friends. Her specialties also include media training, crisis communications as well as audio/video production and broadcasting. Her background includes television news positions in Chicago, Denver and Honolulu and her PR experience includes serving as a director of public relations for The Ritz-Carlton organization and leadership positions at several agencies. She’s also produced corporate, sales and web videos for well-known brands including Pepsi, Quaker and Miller Brewing. Audrey graduated cum laude from Ohio University. Her home is shared with her husband, Richard, dog Minster and their cats Nicolai, Ralph and Shelley.

Audrey is ashamed to admit she has turned into a bona fide golf addict. When she isn’t working, you’ll find her and Richard on a golf course, slicing, hooking and shanking their way happily up the fairways. She has never had a hole-in-one but knows she will someday!
